The friendship between our nations must ever remain a pillar of our security and prosperity.
Letter from Benjamin Franklin to the Continental Congress, early 1783
What we do
1783 operates at the intersection of strategy, diplomacy, and digital power.
We work with senior decision-makers across Washington, Brussels, Paris and key European capitals to navigate the geopolitical, technological, and regulatory shifts shaping the twenty-first century.
1783 is not a consulting company. It is a vantage point, a way to read power, risk, and alliances in a world being reshaped by technology.
We consider memory a strategic asset: the long continuity of alliances, institutions and crises that gives meaning to the present and clarity to what comes next.

“If it be a wild scheme, I had rather be mad that way, than to be thought wise on the other tack.”
Lafayette to George Washington, written from Cádiz, February 5, 1783
